Britney Spears' unexpected homage to Milli Vanilli

In the late 80's, America experienced a controversy of cataclysmic proportions; the pop duo Milli Vanilli was caught lip syncing during one of their live concerts on MTV. The groups' demise was evident when their Grammy was revoked after it was revealed that the lead vocals on the record were not the actual voices of Morvan and Pilatus , the groups supposed singers.
Now, we have the news of the millennium! Britney Spears was caught lip-syncing during her Circus concert tour in Australia ! Wow! Let's forget how bad our economy is faring and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan , but let's focus on how Spears is scamming a bunch of fans by mouthing her lyrics while gyrating and dancing suggestively. Didn't they pay their hard earned wages just to behold Britney's beauty and countenance? Surely, they did not pay money just to hear her baby-girl vocals, didn't they come to just see the show and the exotic dancing? At least this is what Britney's management team is contemplating.
True, it is like comparing apples to oranges when I mention Milli Vanilli to Britney Spears, but it is not far from the core of the apple. When I attend a concert, I expect to be entertained and I expect to hear the artist's hits played and sung from the vocal chords of the artist.
I was fortunate enough to see George Straight in concert and I am quite certain the voice I heard sing " Amarillo by Morning," was indeed George's. Also, with all of their over-the-top hype, the rock group Kiss has never thought of lip-syncing. In fact, I can remember seeing Kiss in concert during the late 80's (during the Milli Vanilli "trials"). They put on a show to end all shows, and I was entertained with missed guitar riffs and forgotten lyrics all the while thinking this was a great concert. We attend concerts to see the artist...our stars...our heros; to see them, to see their humanity and their flaws.
I think concert tickets need to have a warning affixed? Something like: "The purchaser of this ticket is subject to being entertained by a tape recorder/c.d. player while the artist frolics on stage while mouthing his/her lyrics."
